Is it worth to temporarily switching dairy cows from three milking regime to two as an answer for transferring milk from winter to summer

Abstract
40 Holstein cows, 20 of early lactation (60-90 days) and 20 of late lactation (120-150 days) were assigned into 2 groups - treatment and control. Then the trail was started by dividing the experimental period into 3 sub periods:
Period A –The cows were moved into individual stall. First week was for acclimation and then began data collection, milk and dry matter per cow per day. This stage lasted for approximately - 5 weeks.
Period B – The treated cows were transferred from 3 milking regime into two milking regime, while the control group continued to be milked 3 times a day. This phase lasted for about 4 weeks.
Period C – The treated cows were transferred back into 3 milking regime. This phase lasted also for about 4 weeks.
The results were concluded as such:
Decrease in the number of milking (from -3 to -2) caused a significant decline in milk yield (a decrease of approximately - 5 kg of milk). Cows that were above the 70-days of lactation their milk decrease was higher compared to cows under - 70-days of lactation. Cows from the two lactation stages, that downloaded the regime of three milking into two milking for a month, got milk yield similar to those of the control group within that time period. Efficiency was not influenced by the feed during the experiment; have a direct link between the amount of feed consumed and milk yield.
There were not significant changes in BCS. This may be because of the short period in which cows were transferred temporarily to a two milking regime.
